Shell Gas Direct Limited
"Mark Dean, of AZof Solutions, completed a Business Controls Project for Shell Gas Direct Ltd. This included agreeing detailed Business Process Maps for the whole organisation and its interfaces, as well as completing a comprehensive initial risk identification exercise.
In addition, the AZof Solutions detailed Risk Assessment Process Methodology was tailored to meet Shell Gas Direct Ltd's requirements and a series of interactive Risk Assessment Workshops were facilitated.
These identified specific risk scenarios to allow control actions to be agreed within a short timeframe whilst maximizing input from key individuals in the organisation. The project reinforced the controls culture within the organisation and lead to the adoption of a working Business Control Framework published via the internal intranet with active ownership by the business.
Mark delivered the above in a short timeframe in a very professional way.
His quick understanding of the rather complex processes has been very impressive.
He facilitated a number of workshops which have been very well received (and enjoyed) by staff at all levels in the organisation.
There is no doubt that as a result of his work the controls culture in the organisation will improve significantly."

Klaus Spiekermann,
General Manager, Shell Gas Direct Limited, 30th September, 2003.
The Institute of Financial Services (ifs)
"In 2003 the ifs took the decision to close its physical library and information centre and focus its efforts on developing and implementing a fully electronic resource, the ifs KnowledgeBank.
This was a tremendously challenging programme with a number of complex inter-locking project strands - including IT implementation, content development, communication, recruitment, on-site collections disposal, transition-planning - and an immovable deadline.
In mid January 2004, we called in Mark Dean, of AZ
of Solutions, to programme-manage this development through to launch on 1 May 2004. As well as overall project management, monitoring, control and risk-identification, he took a very hands-on approach to a number of the other project strands, running or supporting them according to the demands of the project.
In particular, the IT implementation strand included an accelerated search and classification vendor selection exercise, for which AZof Solutions provided additional technical resource to facilitate a solution and successful contract negotiation to allow implementation within timescale.
I look back to where we were in mid-January and think of the monumental activity that's taken place since to get us to launch and can only feel hugely impressed with the achievement.
It was largely due to Mark’s drive, persistence and energy as Programme Manager that we achieved this project on time ."
